A high-quality furnished, spacious vacation apartment with balcony and large garden, away from traffic and traffic noise. It is located in the charming Niesetal, directly at the foot of the Weserbergland. To the west, the ridge of the Teutoburg Forest forms the horizon. The fireplace in the living area is only a dummy.
According to the latest findings, the Romans already had a stage camp here on their way from the Lippe to the Weser. A few hundred meters away from your vacation apartment this place is still called "Up de Schanz" in the vernacular. From your location you can reach the traditional painter's colony Schwalenberg as well as the beautifully situated Benedictine Abbey Marienmünster on easy hikes.
The vacation home is located in the western Weserbergland, near the southern foothills of the Teutoburg Forest. In addition to the scenic attractions of this low mountain range rich in water and deciduous forests, you are here in one of the richest cultural landscapes in Germany. The German Fairy Tale Road, the Weser Renaissance Road, the World Heritage Site of Corvey Monastery and Castle, the Fürstenberg Porcelain Manufactory, Germany's largest open-air museum (the Westphalian Open-Air Museum in Detmold), the Externsteine, the Hermann Monument and much, much more will entice you all around. Numerous health resorts in the area attract visitors with very different attractions. For example, the nearby state spa of Pyrmont, in addition to its famous palm garden of the Hufelandtherme, a zoo and the castle, offers such unusual attractions as a haze cave and sinkholes.
