The cosy Villa Rafal Cogoll is a beautiful rural property, particularly child-friendly and available at an equally family-friendly price. Built in the 1990s, this smoothly plastered villa has remained true to Mallorcan tradition, while its modern furnishings are complemented by typical rustic Spanish elements. There is a very friendly and bright atmosphere here, which filled us with a real sense of well-being on our very first visit. This two-storey villa offers plenty of space for a family or group of friends thanks to its spacious layout. On the ground floor, there is an inviting entrance hall and two opulent dining rooms. The kitchen is located between these two dining rooms. In the fully equipped kitchen with wooden fronts, there is no shortage of luxury: two coffee machines, dishwasher, microwave, oven with ceramic hob and much more ensure a successful self-catering holiday. A large double glass door connects the kitchen to the dining room with its cosy fireplace. From the kitchen you enter the even more spacious dining room with a long table and comfortable wooden rocking chairs. Under the wicker arches built on pillars and the exposed woodwork of the ceiling beams, you can enjoy cheerful communal evenings. The tastefully decorated walls with their collection of hand-painted porcelain and traditional copper pots add to the cosy atmosphere of this house, which will instantly brighten up your day.

From the entrance hall, a staircase leads to the top floor of this attractive house, where the actual living room and all four bedrooms are located. Each bedroom is individually designed. One has a beautifully patterned carpet with a delicate design, another has a rustic old stone wall; bedsteads made of turned wood alternate with bedsteads made of filigree metal tubes in Art Nouveau style. All bedrooms offer plenty of space for your holiday wardrobe. A cot is available for our younger guests. One of the bedrooms has a door that leads onto a beautiful sun terrace with a small table. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet in the morning with your freshly brewed coffee. A staircase leads from the terrace to the pool area, which is enclosed by a small pillared wall to make it child-friendly. The steps provide access to this area via a movable, lockable gate. The pool with sun terrace is located on a half-level, so to speak, i.e. it can be reached via the aforementioned staircase from the upper floor and also via the second staircase that leads from the car park to the pool area. There are eight sun loungers and two parasols on the sun terrace, so you can enjoy the Mediterranean lifestyle to the full after a dip in the pool. Overall, the outdoor area of the villa enjoys a beautiful, relaxed design and comprises a total of 16 outdoor seating areas spread across the entire property. There is also a small bistro-style table in the shade of a tree on the covered terrace by the house. We particularly like the large covered outdoor kitchen and barbecue area, where you can end the day relaxing by the barbecue.

You can buy fresh local produce from the paradisiacal Balearic Islands at the weekly markets. For example, on Thursdays in Sant Llorenc or on Tuesdays in Artà. The supermarkets are also within easy reach Manacor is only 5 minutes away by car and Sant Llorenc is just a little further away. As this attractive villa is located about 250 metres from the main road that connects Artà with Manacor, these towns are very easy to reach, as are all the other places of interest on the island. Also within easy reach are the beautiful beaches in the eastern part of the island, the so-called Calas de Mallorca, which are often compared to a string of pearls because they are so close together and you can walk from one cove to the next. Some of these bathing bays are small, hidden and almost unspoilt and offer excellent water quality. Exciting days by the sea await you. Another special feature is the location of the cosy Villa Rafal Cogoll directly on the Via Verde. The Via Verde was created a few years ago on the former railway line that was built for trains from Palma to Artà and was never completed. With the creation of the Via Verde, a 28-kilometre route that leads from Manacor via Sant Llorenç, Son Carrió and Son Servera to Artà, the story has now come to a happy end. For its remodelling, 4,800 trees and 15,200 plants were planted along the route and rest areas and picnic zones were created. A hire car is therefore not necessary, you can simply go for a short hike or cycle around (three bikes are available free of charge at Rafal Cogoll, extras (max. three) cost 30 per stay). The smoothly plastered Villa Rafal Cogoll is located directly on the Via Verde, the former railway line that has now become a hiking and cycling trail between Artà and Manacor. Manacor and Artà are the local towns for your daily shopping. The beautiful sandy beaches of the south-east coast, the Calas de Mallorca, are easily accessible by hire car.
