Enormous holiday house close to nature with a big terrace, for a relaxing holiday together with family or friends in the Eifel
This historical Eifel house is very quietly situated in the little village of Zweifelscheid-Engelsdorf, in a tiny settlement in the midst of the idyllic nature of the Enz Valley in the Neuerburger Land in the Eifel. It is on a site of over 1000m² and is very close to the “Engelsdorf” holiday house. The Enz Valley cycle path runs right by the property, which is also surrounded by many hiking trails. As the holiday house stands completely detached, it provides ideal conditions for an undisturbed and relaxing holiday, whether with a big family or with friends.
After conversion and renovation work at the beginning of 2015, the Eifel house now radiates a whole new splendour. It has six bedrooms and around 230m² of space, with a characteristic Eifel flair, for up to 20 guests. The holiday house has two fully-furnished holiday apartments that can be combined by a connecting door. Therefore your friends or family are under the same roof, but privacy is ensured. One apartment can accommodate 13 guests. The non-smoking apartment is spread over two floors and its 140m2 comprises a very large dining room (35m²) with five floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and terrace doors opening onto the generous garden. A lovely fireplace stove and a comfortable suite invite you to enjoy cosy TV evenings (LCD satellite TV). The living room and the kitchen (25m²) with the well-equipped kitchen unit with a dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob with four rings, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, coffee machine, kettle and other utensils, provide everything you need. The ground floor has a bedroom for more elderly guests with a double bed (2 x 90 x 200cm) and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, washbasin, WC and urinal. Stairs lead to the upper floor with three further bedrooms: a children’s room with five beds, a catamaran bed (90 x 200cm and 140 x 200cm), a normal bunk bed (2 x 90 x 200cm), another bedroom with a double bed (2 x 90 x 200cm) and a French bed (140 x 200cm). This floor also has a bathroom with a shower, washbasin and WC, and the access through to the other apartment. The second modern attic apartment of around 90m² is suitable for up to seven guests and s accessed up the new stairwell to the side. The ground floor has a cloakroom, the first floor has access to the neighbouring holiday apartment, as well as a small bedroom with a French bed (140 x 190 cm). The attic has two bedrooms, one with an exceptional loft bed for three people (3 x 90 x 200cm), the other with a double bed (2 x 90 x 200cm). The bathroom is fitted with a shower, washbasin and WC. The main living room of 35m² includes the kitchen, a dining space and a lounge area. The kitchen unit is equipped with a dishwasher, oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, coffee machine and kettle. The comfortable sitting corner can seat seven guests. There is a lovely big fireplace stove with two glass panes exuding cosy warmth, which you can enjoy on the suite. A big panoramic window with a view of surrounding nature provides an alternative to the big LCD TV. The house has new oil central heating and all the rooms have new radiators.
In front and at the back of the house there is are terraces with plenty of seating and tables. The front terrace is in the southern part of the site blessed by sunshine. There are parking spaces right in front of the house. Dog owners should note that the site is not fenced and therefore it is advisable to keep dogs on the leash.
There are shopping facilities 3km away. Luxembourg, Neuerburg, Bitburg, Prüm and dozens of cycling and hiking trails are right nearby. There are countless leisure activities available, such as the Eifelzoo, the Neuerburg leisure pool and many castles and ruins.
